MentorWorks Partners with Blue Ridge Bank to Launch a Community Learning Program Designed to Strengthen Workforce Development for Underserved and Low-Income Communities
This program is the first of its kind, designed to improve the workforce development of those traditionally excluded from the equation, support income equality and create social equity.

MentorWorks Education Capital, Inc. (MentorWorks) announced a new learning program in partnership with Blue Ridge Bank, NA, (the “Bank”), the national banking subsidiary of Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. (NYSE American: BRBS) . This program will provide hands-on learning opportunities for people from low-income and underserved backgrounds in Virginia. This will be a first-of-its-kind paid learning opportunity aimed at closing the wealth gap and creating social equity while giving banks the opportunity to receive Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) benefits. .
Candidates will have the opportunity to develop their resume and industry-applicable skills under the guidance of committed advocates for workforce development programs. MentorWorks provides access to training and career paths in IT, cybersecurity, data analytics, customer service, sales, and more.

This initial program will start with the bank’s talent needs and then be offered to the bank’s business partners.
