Through this partnership, UNICEF and Zain Iraq will tackle key issues affecting children and youth, reaching 20 million people through awareness campaigns.
Baghdad, 15 February 2022 – UNICEF and Zain today signed a partnership based on their shared values to support children’s rights in Iraq by adopting joint work plans in several areas related to children, including education, health and nutrition, social protection, water and sanitation. and youth engagement for the next 3 years.
As part of this partnership, UNICEF will partner with Zain to leverage the leading telecommunications operator’s strong network and world-class digital services to reach young people and children in Iraq with essential information and advice. hear their views through surveys that will inform UNICEF programmes.

The new partnership will also provide at least 1,000 young Iraqis with opportunities to reach their full potential through learning and engagement opportunities.
